NEW BIONYLON STRINGS: INCREDIBLE SOUND AND 50% LESS CARBON FOOTPRINT
We are proud stockists of Aquila strings both classical guitar and ukuleke
Aquila strings are one of the most popular brands of ukulele strings around, if not the most popular.
They are made in Italy of their own, special Nylgut material. Nylgut is a synthetic material that is intended to combine the best qualities of nylon and gut strings (hence the name). The strings are easy to play and have a warm tone to them.
There's plenty of debate on the ukulele forums on this subject, different people prefer different strings. Overall, it seems like Aquila are winning the string wars.
And now...........
BIONYLON
We are proud to introduce the Bionylon®, the first eco-friendly synthetic string in the world. These Ukulele strings are made of rounded, smooth Bionylon® monofilaments - a new material discovered by us- that also boasts excellent acoustic and mechanical properties. Bionylon® is 100%, a plant’s derivate (castor oil); this allows a reduction of more of 50% of carbon dioxide's emissions in the atmosphere during the polymer- synthesis than the other common Nylons employed for musical strings. Warm and mellow perfomances!
